Terms and refunds

The plain-language rules for using QRGeny. Last updated 3 November 2026.

The service

QRGeny lets you create QR codes. Static codes are made in your browser, are free, and keep working forever because they do not depend on us. Dynamic codes point to a short link on our site, so you can change where they lead and see scan statistics.

Plans

The Free plan includes one dynamic code. Editing and statistics for it are open for the first 7 days. The Pro plan ($15 a month or $150 a year) includes up to 100 dynamic codes, editing and statistics at all times. Prices are in US dollars and tax is added where required. We may change prices for future billing periods, and will tell you before the change reaches you.

Payments and cancelling

Payments are processed by Polar, our reseller and merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link on the Pricing page or in your Polar receipt. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

If you stop paying

Your dynamic codes keep redirecting to the destination you set, so printed codes keep working. Editing and statistics lock until you subscribe again. Nothing is deleted.

Refunds

If Pro is not right for you, email support@qrgeny.com within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. Later renewals are not refunded, but you can cancel before the next one at any time.

What you may not do

You may not use QRGeny to:

• send people to scams, fraud, phishing pages, or fake login or payment pages;
• spread malware, or link to illegal content or content that exploits or harms children;
• harass, threaten, impersonate, or deceive others, or send spam;
• infringe someone else's rights, or hide where a code really leads in order to mislead people;
• send automated or very high traffic to the service, or try to break, probe, or overload it.

Scans are not capped on Pro, but fair use applies, so please contact us if you expect very high volumes.

Enforcement and bans

We may pause or remove any code, and suspend or permanently ban any account, at our sole discretion and without notice, if we believe it is being used for abuse, spam, scams, or anything listed above, or if it puts other people or the service at risk. A banned account loses access to its codes and statistics, and its codes may stop redirecting. We may report illegal activity to the authorities and cooperate with their lawful requests. If we ban a paid account for breaking these terms, we are not required to refund the remaining period. If you think we made a mistake, write to support@qrgeny.com and we will take a look.

Your content

You own the codes and destinations you create. You are responsible for the pages your codes lead to and for having the right to use any logo you add.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Scan statistics are approximate. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use QRGeny after a change means you accept it.
