How to make it
- Choose Contact above and fill in your details. Name is the only required field.
- Add the fields people actually need. Phone, email and website are usually enough.
- Pick a style and check that the scan test passes.
- Download SVG for printing or PNG for your email signature, and test it with a phone before ordering cards.
Tips
- Fewer details make a simpler code that is easier to scan on a small business card.
- The code holds the details you typed, so if your number changes you must make a new code. A dynamic code that links to your own page avoids that.
- Keep the code at least 2 cm wide on a card, dark on light, with a clear margin.
- Your details are put into the code in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
Questions
What happens when someone scans a vCard code?
Their phone shows the contact details and offers to add them to their address book. Most current phones do this from the camera app.
Can I update my details later?
Not with this static code. Make a new one, or point a dynamic code at a page of your own that you can edit.
How much can I fit in the code?
A name, phone, email and website fit comfortably. Long addresses and many fields make the code busier and harder to scan.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no expiry.
